Carb Manager aimed to completely redesign their app by reimagining the UI, improving the UX, and adding new features. As the sole Lead Product Designer, I led the project from initial design and UX to development handoff, animations, and launch. Carb Manager is a complex app with hundreds of customizations, settings, food/recipe databases, meal planners, and analytics.
I began with Carb Manager’s previous app, which, while successful, was outdated in design and functionality. I worked with the team to identify user needs, frustrations, and new features to enhance the overall experience, aiming to improve both the UI and branding.
After the redesign we were able to increase carb managers app store visibility, new member acquisition, member’s average visits per day, average app store rating, premium subscriptions, and more. The app currently has 4.8 stars with over 600k+ Reviews (IOS) and 4.5 stars 140k+ Reviews (Android)
